A child explores before identity hardens.

A child touches, tastes, looks, listens, asks.

Not always wisely.

But openly.

Later, the mind becomes decorated with conclusions.

I like this.
I dislike that.
I am this.
I am not that.
This is beneath me.
This is beyond me.
This is safe.
This is strange.

Some conclusions are useful.

Some protect us.

Some are practical.

But some become old furniture in the mind.

We keep walking around them without noticing they are there.

Impermanence invites us to see that even these inner arrangements can move.

The room inside us is not fixed.

The furniture can be seen.

The windows can open.

Light can enter places we forgot existed.
